In 2025, Nepal scored 34 points out of 100.
- In 2024, Nepal scored 35 points (Rank: 107/180)
- In 2023, Nepal scored 35 points (Rank: 108/180)
- In 2022, Nepal scored 33 points (Rank: 110/180)
This means Nepal’s current situation has not improved more. Any score below 50 shows that corruption is still a serious problem.
Most and Least Corrupt Countries
- Denmark is the least corrupt country, scoring 89 points. Denmark has been in the top position for the last seven years.
- Somalia & South Sudan is the most corrupt country in the world this year 2025, with only 9 points.

- 100 = very clean

Global Situation
- The global average score is 42, the lowest in over 10 years.
- 122 countries scored below 50, showing serious corruption problems.
- This shows that corruption is still a big problem in many countries.
How the Index Is Made
Transparency International prepared this index using data from up to 13 international surveys related to public sector corruption.
Nepal’s ranking shows that corruption is still a major issue. Strong laws, honesty and transparency are needed to improve Nepal’s position in the future.
